Bergecrac Rouge
« Du Fruit à l’état pure »
The colour is ruby with violet glints. The nose of liquorice and light red fruits, blackcurrant among them, hints at a round, fruity palate underpinned by a lovely freshness. The structure is supple yet well-defined, pointing to a cellaring potential of 5 to 6 years. Served at room temperature, it pairs perfectly with grilled meats, roasts, charcuterie, chicken en papillote or spaghetti bolognese. An ideal wine for convivial gatherings with friends.
Vinification
Half the grapes are destemmed, the other half left as whole bunches. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The maceration is entirely gentle, like an infusion of the grapes in their own juice, lasting between seven and fourteen days. Aged in underground stainless steel tanks, amphorae and egg-shaped vessels. This wine contains no added sulphur, is neither fined nor filtered, and will continue to evolve in the bottle.
